Crieff in Perthshire, a typical Scottish little resort town on the edge of the Highlands is a good touring base. There is something 'different' about Crieff. This small town has a definite well-to-do feeling about it. You might describe it as more of a ‘traditional’ resort, more or less in the same category as other Perthshire (or at least Highland-edge) places where tourism has a very distinctive role to play like Callander, Dunkeld, Pitlochry or perhaps Dunblane.

The town itself is surprisingly large, but not so big that you can’t enjoy a leisurely stroll around its many attractions. The town is 'comfortable' and attractive in a reserved sort of way.......a good way! You really can't go wrong visiting oldie-worldie Crieff.
