Description:
A 3-stage 72 km walk with an overall difficulty grading of 2 (Slightly harder). There are sections where the path is indistinct and navigation skills are than required.
This trail runs from the iconic Mull of Galloway to Stranraer and could very well be the most scenic trail in South West Scotland. The walk is clearly waymarked and there are information boards at the many points of interest.
There is a link with the Southern Upland Way at Stranrear and the Ayrshire Coastal Path, just a little ways further up north at Glenapp (via Loch Ryan Coastal Path), might also be an interesting option!
Stages:
- Mull of Galloway - Ardwell 20,5 km (Slightly harder)
- Ardwell - Stranraer 19,5 km (Slightly harder)
- Stranrear - Glenapp (via Loch Ryan Coastal Path) 19 km (Slightly harder)
