Description:

A 4-stage walk with an overall difficulty grading of 2 (Slightly harder). This 100 km route links Melrose in the Scottish Borders with Lindisfarne off the Northumberland Coast. Although inspired by St. Cuthbert, this is far more than a pilgrimage route. It is simply a wonderful 'way' to explore this beautiful region.

There are links with the Borders Abbeys Way and the Southern Upland Way at Melrose and with the Scottish National Trail at Kirk Yetholm.

Stages:

  1. Melrose - Harestanes 23,75 km (Slightly harder)
  2. Harestanes - Kirk Yetholm 28 km (Slightly harder)
  3. Kirk Yetholm - Wooler 20,75 km (Slightly harder)
  4. Wooler - Lindisfarne 28,75 km (Slightly harder)
